While South Port Square is honored to be recognized as an award-winning senior living community by a variety of organizations – including J.D. Power – for either our affiliations or services, what does each award measure and what do they mean for you?
LCS J.D. Power Award
As a Life Care Services® community and part of the LCS family of companies, South Port Square was overjoyed that Life Care Services once again ranked highest in independent living resident overall satisfaction for the sixth year in row by J.D. Power. Plus, they ranked #1 for Assisted Living/Memory Care in the 2024 J.D. Power Customer Satisfaction Study. The study is based on responses from residents of the largest U.S. independent senior living providers within the previous three years.
J.D. Power is a global leader in consumer insights and has been delivering incisive industry intelligence on customer interactions with brands and products for more than 50 years. Every year, their study examines family decision-makers and resident satisfaction with the nation’s largest providers of independent living for seniors and their families. A satisfying experience is measured based on 6 factors including community buildings and grounds; community staff; dining; price paid for services received; resident activities; and resident apartment/living unit.
Outside of the recognition, this study also provides us with actionable insights to help ensure we continue to exceed our residents’ expectations.

This award celebrates assisted living, memory care and independent living communities that excel in food service based on reviews from residents and families that average at least 4.5 stars out of 5.
